Group applications

I can't seem to find much information on the NMdnr site on group applications as far as tag allotment. Question... If you are selected and there are less tags available than hunters on the group application, do they expand the tag allotment to accommodate (like in Wyoming) or is your application thrown out. Example..if your application is selected containing 3 hunters and there is only 2 tags left in the draw, what do they do?...

LAST EDITED ON Feb-07-18 AT 06:11PM (MST)[p]Your app will get thrown out. Alot of guys do this with non residents to try and get them drawn and it doesn't help them. If there is not enough tags the app will get put aside.

That particular hunt choice is tossed and move on to the group's next choice.

New Mexico will a lot 1 extra tag to accommodate a group application for example if there 2 tags left and you draw as a 3 person group they will give it to you.
This is the first example I came to but look at the 2017 draw odds from last year. ANT-1-100 has a 25 tag limit but they awarded 26 tags because of a group attachment. You can see it on other hints down the list as well

That is not the case. The group apps will be thrown out if there aren't tags available.

G&F will round up the NR allotment for tags, ie 2.5 becomes 3. 1.5 becomes 2 etc. This is where you are seeing the extra tag.

505 is correct: NM does NOT give extra tags to accommodate party applications.

Your app will be rejected. It used to be this way but changed it a while back. They only adjust it to accommodate the 84% res 10% and 6% guided
