I need to find some snow. I have a dog I need to try this week. I'm wondering if there's any lingering snow in the northern part of the state? Just enough to cut a track on? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Order in some scent(Bobcat,or Mtn lion Piss) and do a dragline and see if it will pick up that scent.
It worked for me when I had Coondog pups that I want to see if they was keepers or not.
See if the local Basspro or Cabelas has any.

We actually use some stuff from the glands in the paws I can't remember the name it expensive. This dog is a made dog ,but before sinking the $$$$ I wanna see him from track to tree ,know what I mean.

We got some snow in 53 last week but it melted down in the P/J country where most of the Kitty Cats are now. New storm is coming....MAYBE... You could try up higher Cabresto, Red River,or Ute... Good Luck. Saw a small one cross the Highway (522) mile marker 10 "Cerro Negro" 2 weeks ago.

We have limited snow in central NM. If it's a ?made dog?, dry ground it, a lab can follow a lion in the snow, a dog with game will hunt a track.. Grawe?s sells a gland scent from lion.

WF it's not the dog that needs the snow,it's me. I don't feel like free casting on horseback all day(which is how you find a dry track) it's been a long year. Thank you though

Just walk the dog on ridges you know lions travel, let it have the scrapes. Trust the dog to find the track, that's what they do.

From where I live, in Questa, i was watching the snow come down up towards Cabresto canyon just before it got dark this evening. The entire canyon was blocked out by the snowfall up that way.
