Packer/Drop camp 16B

LAST EDITED ON Apr-25-18 AT 03:18PM (MST)[p]Hello everyone, I use to hunt 16B when I had horses, things went dry for a few years with tags and I sold the horses. I've gotten into backpacking and would like to attempt to hunt some of my old areas in B this year (I drew the first archery tag), but had my partner bail on me. I'm concerned about killing a bull and not being able to get it out in time. Anyone have any leads on a reliable packer. I contacted Becky Cambell and they are booked for the season. Thanks for any help.

In the past, the name I heard was San Francisco River Outfitters for 16B. Don't know if he just does pack outs, drop camps or just fully guided.

Ideally yes just a pack out but I would do a drop camp if that was my only option. Then again I don't know how many outfitters would do a drop camp for one guy with his own gear. I do know of an older gentleman that also drew this hunt that I maybe able to talk into going in on a drop camp with me but not sure.

I used AJ Packout Service in Arizona last year. He lives close to the NM board and has done some pack work in the Gila in NM. I'm not sure if he would be willing to travel as far as 16B but it is an extra phone number to call, if others are busy. He treated his horses/mule well and has years of experience packing out elk.
