High or Low during drought conditions

Hello Everyone,

While archery hunting elk during a drought, would elk tend to stay up high toward timber line? Most wallows or water holes might be dried up, but wouldn't it be cooler temps?

Or would they tend to go low in search of agricultural fields and rivers?

Very likely that by the time your hunt is happening, we will have had rain in July, Aug etc. If a few weeks go by without rain before your hunt, then focus on water. Really to early to make plans in regards to water, rain or drought will affect your hunt.
