Unit question

Bought a cow hunt for my son. It's in unit 13 hunted 15 many times looking to start scouting around magedlena or Datil to Quemato. Not real sure where the elk will be in December. Going to choose a spot to start next weekend. Going to set out some game cams and I am willing to share info on any Bulls I see, don't want to be out scouting and learning a new area during other's hunts. Feel free to pm me with ideas or suggestions.

Scouting this early for a Dec hunt does no good unless you want to find all the roads in and around. In Dec just drive into the unit and walk over the 1st hill and shoot that simply. Lol
Maybe not that simple but you should not have to worry about scouting or trouble finding cow elk in December.

+1 on learing the roads. Not quite as simple as you claim only a 35% success rate in that unit. Maybe the 65% un sucessful are road hunters. Really big unit I have heard good things about it and half the fun of hunting is exploring new areas. Feel free to send me any extra luck you have LOL always wanted to park the truck and walk over the hill and kill an elk.
