Has some potential. What do you think?

Baby...our big bulls up north are about 90% done growing. They probably only have about 2.5 weeks to grow. The babies will grow through the month of July but the big bulls will be done soon. Saw a bull last night that is flirting with 380 and another in the mid 350's. Now if we can just get some rain for the cows and calves, we will be in good shape.

You are absolutely correct "big" guy...no big bulls north of 1-40

Ok let me clarify, 1 out of about every 500 bulls taken might hit the 380 Mark. I grew up near the Valle Vidal in the early 80's and seen a lot of 350, 360ish bulls but even back then the biggest bull that I seen come out of there was from flag mountain. That bull was a 380ish. And that was around 1990 ish if my old brain remembers correctly.

Bowdeadly... You need to get one of those MM tape measures....They turn a 340 Bull into 380 and a 180 Buck into 200.... Founder sometimes has em on sale.

I think you are spot on in regards to VV. Fun place to hunt for a 300-320 type bull with the rare chance at a 350 type. Never understood why it is OIL

Just for shits, how big?

Very nice Bull 5X6 Missing a 3d on the right ? Not a great pic to score from... My guess would be 350 + This Bull is nowhere close to 380 IMO
Jack

I think the 3rd is showing on the right, cant see the G2, but a 350 frame bull, only reason that bull makes 350 is the long 4th's make up for short 5ths. IMO

A little better pics to score from. His sheds from that year scored 377 with a 35 inside spread. So not 380 but close enough fro me. This was 3 years ago, his sheds from this year were 364.

Passthrough...

Well that last pic "Hard Horn" shows that this bull is VERY NICE. And bigger than I thought.
You seem to have a good idea where he is.... GPS coordinates ? LOL
Use to have a Bull around here with two main beams like the other pic.... was he "up north" ? Have a pic of him somewhere will try to find it. He was just a young Bull when I got the pic but very similar.
Jack

Lol Miguel! Having all of my cameras out and the forest being closed is killing me...I don't usually share, but I guess Im bored! Those are your "grandma" sheds, right? Im pretty sure I have a pic of that bull in velvet.

The split MB bull is from up north as well. We haven't seen him since 14. We have a couple of his offspring on camera, one that is almost identical, hard to judge score on him, but maybe in the 340's last year. If he can make it to 6 or 7 we might have a giant. The 6x is old now, past his prime, but id still love to shoot him just because we have so much history with him. This is him in November of 17.

Is this only about elk you should post a pic of the "Manzana buck",you had me chasing last year that nocturnal jerk.haha

Wow passthrough I wish you would "get bored" more often... some GREAT pics. I guess that Buck is from "up north" also ? 30" and killer eye guards.Looks similar to one I saw while grouse hunting a few years ago.
Jack

What's the attraction the area where you have cams? Water? Travel routes? Mineral lick?

Just curious. Cool pics.

He is a north buck. I finally drew the muzzleloader tag, I hope he keeps to his pattern, I'd love to run one through him.

One good thing about the forest being closed is they should keep their pattern as long as you have a big SIM card and batteries may be the best case senecio for you good luck hope it all comes togreather

Bowdeadly knows what he is talking about, you see, he is the real life "JACKO" from Last of the Dogmen, name changed for the movie, it's was actually "GENO". we found him and brought him out the deepest canyons of the Valle Vidal. This is him with his bow when we got him home. This is where he gets his call sign "bowdeadly" these were actually his first English words besides the 4 letter ones he favors!
