Just curious how many of you have this tag. I've got one and was wondering if anyone that has the tag would like to swap cell phone numbers so we can keep eachother in the loop with what each of us are seeing and where. Thanks.

Oh...I would. So I guess I'm looking for someone like myself that would be willing to help another hunter. Silly me...

If for some miracle it would get cold and there would be show you would be in for a pretty good hunt.
That rifle hunt has been a tough sucker to dig up a decent buck on. Either way it should be fun! Better than staying at home wishing you were hunting.

Ive deer hunted it the last two years, 3rd and 2nd rifle hunt.Killed one buck two years ago in the mud and rain , passed up I believe 17 legal bucks last year. Ive been on a hunt either deer or elk there every year except 1 year since 2012, and experienced all conditions, weather , snow ,rain, drought, heavy traffic and hardly any traffic. Ive seen a couple exceptional bucks(2 killed) and many that easily pass "my" eye test...The share words of weather/snow in southern CO being needed is VERY TRUE for quantity of deer and multiple bigger bucks, but there is plenty of resident bucks to be had , but they don't grow to mammoth size by letting people put eyes on them often...As always, chains ,shovels, I carry extra 3ft planks, the very best glass you can afford, and lots of shooting at different distances..there is going to be deer all over the unit, its more up to you and your preference , be around people and traffic and hope "that" buck shows himself , or be alone and go find him away from any traffic...Its huge country and plenty for both options...Best of luck and have fun.....shooting a big buck is simply bonus, its the experience in it all that makes it worth it....
