conditions?

I had the local news on in Lubbock but muted. I looked at the setting and living conditions and thought to myself "That reminds me of Taos." Turned up the volume and sure enough. Strange people and activities live in that valley.

It's not in Taos, it was Amalia which is right up against the Colorado State line. What's strange is I grew up near there and I'm sure somebody had to notice Black folks there. We don't grow them up in those hills. Don't know why authorities were not called sooner. You just can't make refuge especially that big without being noticed especially in a small village where everyone knows everyone. The folks in northern NM have roots dating back 300 years and don't take kindly to drifters just setting up camp in their stomping grounds. Lol

I have tried to avoid this thread.... But this happened in MY backyard. I don't think a hunting forum is the place to discuss this. I would suggest you guys watch the local news. But this has to STOP and I mean NOW ! I will not let the country I grew up in and love be turned into some Islamic ##### hole.......

I'm with you Cowboy, but this happened closer to my backyard where we grew up hunting and hiking. Iv never any concern about any religion up North but when you start getting radical Muslims well that's a whole different ball game. Hunters and hikers need to be aware also.

The land owner notified authorities and a judge refused to order an eviction. But they were under servaliance for awhile. The neighbor who was another drifter helped them set up solar panels. But didn't think anything. Just thought they wanted to live off the grid. He also claimed that he never seen the woman. That itself should have raised a red flag. 11 kids with 2 men.

Some are in nice deer country and you have to be real careful out there. I'm going up this weekend to scout an area and I'll take a picture of a warning sign on a gate to one compound that's down right scary. I'm told by the cowboys the guy there has pulled guns on them before in situations that don't call for guns.

Supposedly FBI had told local law enforcement to stand down. Supposedly the FBI had these people under surveillance. I am fairly certain that political correctness influenced the handling of these fanatics.

Just glad they got them before they sent their kids in training to OUR schools. Im Not sure if Costilla still has an elemantry or not, if not they could have sent those kids to the school that I went to in Questa.

Northern NM liberal judge. The prosecutor wanted them held until trial but she (the judge) didn't think they were a danger to anyone.....Can?t make this stuff up .

Came from the same state government that would rather hand out food stamps and welfare to people than make them get a job and stop living off of the system. Ya these people pose no threat?
