Anyone on here going to be Archery hunting 17 next month?

The elk numbers are way down in that unit I wouldn't be picky. I usually hunt the archery hunt but lucked out on a muzzle loader tag this year.

I know a few people who hunt archery but my hunting buddies drew different units this year. I am hunting for cow there this December again (3rd year in a row). PM if you have any specific questions.

We have the second season muzzy tags. Hoping the rains have help and bull are finishing out nicely.

Any bulls being produced yet from the archery guys. Has the rut started up yet heard it was slow for first season.

Slow in 5b had two different bulls coming in to about 150 yards or so but never saw them.Also they were only talking in the evening's. Should be a good muzzle hunt.

Any one hunted 17 for deer? getting ready to go and scout the area just never been there before... not looking for any honey holes. Just a general area to cover. (is it better to hunt the northern or southern area) if southern should I hunt more of the dry/open land vs getting into the bush/steep areas (forest)thank You!

. Glassed up 5 bulls this evening 2 spikes and 3 branched bulls and all were broken. Two more days to scout and hope to turn up a shooter.

Ah. I saw this bull when you killed it. I was happy for you and disappointed at the same time lol. I think we had him scouted for my hunt. Huge congrats taking a bull that big on such a tough yr.
