Ha - got the annual email. Never seen a G&F officer other than at their offices or when we called them.

Just funny they send this out every year.

Never ran into a road block, but have seen them doing there job, been stopped and checked, and had them stop by camp.

They?re out there for sure...... Had an officer show up in no mans land BLM while we were hunting antelope this year. Had a road block last year on a back road in elk country checking hunters.....alll was good.

Up north, I haven't see an actual road block since the 80?s. I think if they actually happened more often it would help.

Last year they were set up in a wide spot on a dirt road and randomly pulling trucks in . Some vehicles were not getting checked . We must have fit the mo ... 4x4 with a headache rack and winch.

Been checked randomly when we've ran into rangers driving around. Sometimes they've stopped to chat, but don't even check.

However, never hit an actual road block.

Did have a buddy stalk and legally shoot up a NMDGF decoy once; he drove past, parked, snuck around and put 2 rounds into what he thought was a toad of a muley before all hell broke loose. I laughed my ass off at the story, but it rattled him and ruined his hunt.
