Hello gents, question for anyone who has been in Deming in nov. Should I take snake gators on my hunt??? Iv look at past years weather for Deming in nov. typical weather is 60s for nov. I think that's to cold but if we get a hot spell that could jump up to 70 ish. Any input is appreciated thanks in advance.

Yes absolutely! During my Nov hunt I saw snakes and tarantulas. If I am correct the rattlers down there are a hybrid that carry both a hemo toxin as well as a neuro toxin.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-30-18 AT 12:51PM (MST)[p]Neurotoxins are more deadly. The really deadly snakes in Africa are Neurotoxins.

Mojave rattlers have neurotoxins. The Florida?s are on the edge of there range, I never seen one there or hybrids.

Most common are Diamondbacks and the Little Rock rattlers. I have seen a few black tails near there.

In November it's getting cool at night, mornings in the evenings so snakes don't move much. As the day warms they will come out and sun themselves on rocks. So when your climbing through rocks is when you really need to be looking for them.

I have never used snake boots there but if they are comfortable to climb that rock pile in wouldn't hurt to wear them. If they are soft soles that mountain is hard on boots.

Thanks for that info ! I also hunted archery there in 2016 and almost stepped on a hugh black tipped rattler it scared the sh#t out of me .

Yea I never saw a Mojave?s up there but the local game warden told me they were up there. I saw some snakes but I never looked very close, just stayed clear.
