T minus 18 days till my 2c deer hunt! Going to go play in the mud scouting tomorrow. Come on snow ???.

Some Toads still in 2C but they are smart and have it figured out. We hunted 2C back in the 1990s when it was part of 2B I Went 3 outa 4 only had tag soup 1 time. If you have some help we did well with post and push.... let em bed down and post up on escape routes. Those BIG Bucks will always use escape that has worked for them in the past. But this takes time to figure out. killed 2 different Bucks 6 years apart with in 50 yards of each other trying to escape the same route. GL

Should be a great hunt! I was elk hunting in 2c two weekends ago and saw plenty of solid bucks, actually saw more bucks than bulls. One of them was a big, wide 4x4 that was hanging out with another solid 4x4.

Jemez,
The big bucks yse the washes to travel to and from. I've noticed the big guys tend to bed in the cedar flats to even the playing field,taking away your vantage points. Having someone walking you in will definitely help. You have killed respectable bucks in units that are far less than 2c, I expect the same out come here! Post pics of a slob soon.

Jemez, good luck. Pretty confident you can find bucks as big or bigger in Peralta Canyon as 2C; you agree?

Was a very fun hunt for me and my two buddy's, who have never harvested a mule deer. Worked very hard and walked for miles glassing! Never caught up to the two 200" class buck we been chasing...But to witness my good friends harvest their buck is Priceless! For me i went home with a nice meat buck and a lifetime of memories.
