Unit 13 cow

Hey guys,

Got it narrowed done too two areas after many scouting trips usually hunt 15. Can any give me information on hunting east of the el malpais off hwy 117 compared to hunting west of hwy 53 just south of the malpais. Road conditions, snow, number of elk/hunters any ifno would help to narrow it down. Hunt is muzzle 1st week in December.

Have not been in that unit in a while but you shouldn't have a problem finding cow elk in December.

Sadly no. We put around 200 miles on my truck, and about 30 miles on foot but wasn?t able to get within 300 yards. I didn't want to risk wounding and not being able to recover. There was so much water down there in the tanks and creeks that we didn't really know where they would be. It was pretty hot also and the deer seemed to bed before the sun came up and didn't start walking around again until after dark. I really appreciate you trying to help me out though.

Hopefully I can get me a cow in December! We will see.
