Unit 16 bow deer

Anyone hunting 16 bow deer, any rut activity, how much snow, any success? headed down next week chasing deer n javalina.

I went out in the blizzard on New Years day with pretty typical results for me: saw about 150 elk, including a couple nice bulls, in an area where I only saw three nice bucks and no elk during the elk hunt. Apparently the nice bucks that were there have since all migrated to the next county, but they left in their wake a spike that was doing his best to service eight does. At least while I was watching, the does weren't too cooperative.

I intended to hunt for five days, but I wore myself out hiking around in all that snow and wind, so I've taken the last couple days off, and I needed a couple days to take down all my Christmas lights anyway. I'm headed back out tomorrow morning. I need to reassess my hunting strategies. I need to break this pattern of only seeing nice bucks during my elk hunts and only nice bulls during my deer hunts...

There are no deer in 16!
