Draw Odds

Can you increase your chances of drawing or do they decrease when you attach your applications together? I am trying to decide if I should attach my wifes and mine application to each other or should I put them in separate.

Since it's a random draw if you apply separately then you get 2 entries into the draw. So odds of one of you drawing is higher than if you attach. That being said odds of both drawing applying seperate aren't likely. If you dont mind drawing seperate then I would do that, but if you both want to be hunting together with tags then attach.

Your odds are slightly better if applying as an individual because NM will not exceed a quota for a group application. (Correct me if they have changed this policy)

The odds of group vs individual application being drawn aren't going to vary much.

Barerra is correct to apply as a group if you want to be drawn with your wife.

As said above the only way attaching would impact your draw odds is if you were the last application drawn for a hunt that had say 50 tags. Your app is 50 and 51, you would get kicked out because there isn't enough license to accommodate both on your app. Other than that it doesn't effect your drawing odds at all.

If you put in separate YOUR drawing odds stay the same, your partners odds are the same, but if your happy with just one of you drawing your odds have increase very very slightly if you look at it that way.

Yes, the chance of both drawing on separate apps is the same, a little better (not much) if you're happy with one drawing.

If you're a non-resident, and the 6% cap gets hit with 1 tag, your odds will be 0%, if you're a resident, it means a little less, but no draw app service recommends applying together.
