Jornada Depredation Oryx Hunt

My daughter was selected for the depredation oryx Hunt on the Jornada range this past weekend. She made a great shot with a 28 Nosler on this 39 inch cow! We wanted to thank Dave for his help. He told my daughter and I that her cow was in the top five oryx taken in over 700 hunts on the range. I'm very happy for her, there were three oryx in the side hill and she made the decision as to which one she wanted to shoot! She made the right choice.

Congratulations, that is a great oryx for anywhere!
My first oryx was a 39" bull killed on a super windy day on the Jornada depredation hunt probably around 2003 or so.

That's awesome, congrats, my 13 year old daughter took a nice bull there a couple weeks ago, Dave is a first rate guy for sure, really enjoyed the hunt. Congratulations again, we're truly blessed that our daughters want to hunt with us!

That is awesome! As others have said already, there is nothing that compares to hunting with your children! I am proud for you and your daughter. My son and I were out on the Stallion Range of the White Sands a year ago this month. Great memories made, with a hope of returning one day. Congrats again!

Way to go. I was called for that hunt about 12 years ago. Tough hunt. 10 hunters called and no oryx killed.

Congratulations to your daughter. That is one really nice Oryx. What a great time for both of you. Nothing beats being in the outdoors with the kids. My best hunts were the one's with my daughter. Now she is in first year of college, so changes happens in life.

Thanks for the nice comments. I'm the father of triplets. I was lucky enough to get one of the three girls that loves to hunt! I love to shop with the other two. I don't play favorites. ?

I was able to help a husband and his wife both harvest an Oryx. Her cow measured 36 1/2 x 36 7/8, and his bull measured 37 x 37 1/2.
