Deer/Antelope

My son and I have been talking for years to hunt WY. We finally did, and I drew a unit 21 antelope tag. I also drew a region Y deer tag. Anyway, any hints to get started. Not expecting "honey holes".

South side of the unit and bring a good map or chip for the GPS. Hump on off the 2 track roads a bit and peak into some of them hidden small sublet drainages. You'll have a fun hunt.

That's good info - only thing I could add is expect LOTS of company. That unit has been getting hammered the last couple of years with the tag reductions it now sells out. Has some nice antelope bucks in it though if you can access the right land.

Be ready for bad roads. I have seen 2 feet of snow in one day to muddy roads that were almost impassable. We have always camped off the 33 RD. Don't over look small pieces of BLM or State land. Keep your gps on and always watching where you are. The higher elevation land to the West holds some animals until it snows. Antelope will be easy if you are not to picky. Deer will be tougher.
