Region T deer question

Iv hinted this area for the last few years and have had pretty good luck. This year I applie to hunt Broom Creek WMA and drew the permit. Everyone says it has some monster deer in it, but iv never been there and I only got 7 days to get it done. Any help?

What kind of help are you talking about since there may not be any members that have hunted that WMA before? Get there and hunt as hard as possible for as many days as you have and hope to find a good one is about all I can offer!

I talked to some locals last year and they said it used to be "first come ,first serve" so if you showed up early in the morning they would let in a certain #of people per day. In the last few years they have made it a draw permit. Would be hard to hunt the whole place in 7 days . I got no doubt I can get it done, just not sure where to start. Also have my dad with me and he is not in the best health, would be nice to get him in close with the truck.

Just make sure and read/follow the rules that are online so you don't violate anything and get in trouble. I have no idea how much you can travel around on that particular property to try and get your Dad close for a shot, so be careful on that too! I see there are only 50 permits for each of those 7 day hunts, so you shouldn't be bothered by others.

25 per species antelope/deer. they also have a chair bound hunter as well as blind hunters. give them a call and see what they can do for you.

The southeastern corner of the HMA (marked as *CBH* on the map) is reserved for chairbound and blind hunters. Special permission is required for access during regular big game seasons.  For more information, contact Al McCarty at 1-800-770-8688

There are a ton of nice deer in that country. I'm 3 for 3 in the last few years with nice bucks. Got a 170 two years ago. I just never hunted the WMA. Always hunt walk ins and blm. It's hard to scout Wyoming from Texas!!! Lol
