WY. Game and Fish Maps

Has anyone utilized this service? I inquired yesterday about these maps and found that the cost with shipping is about $ 40.00 for a single map of a game unit that is for a particular species. Apparently, the Game and Fish gets them from Hunt Data. I note that the Hunt Data folks actually charge more than the Game and Fish for the maps. I am just wondering if these maps are any good and worth the cost? I don't use GPS or the various online services.

Looks like no one does that wants to chime in. My son used a phone app. that was very inexpensive, seems like it was only about $20.00 per year. We were very impressed. But in my old age I can never remember what it is. Are the local BLM and Forest Service maps any help? Just trying to get your post back up top so someone might see it.

According to the Hunt Data website the cost of a single printed map varies from about $30 to $40. Getting both the paper and digital versions will cost about $60.

While these maps are hunt area specific, which would be handy, the BLM surface status maps cost less than $5 each. Usually 2 or 3 of these maps cover the hunt area you may be hunting.

It seems the one thing that most hunters want to know is what roads are public, especially when hunting in eastern Wyoming. My question is, does the Hunt Data maps indicate what roads are public, and if they do, how accurate are they?

I think my Free onXmaps with my RMEF membership is by far worth it all.

Tells me all I need and I can cache for off line/ no phone bars maps...
