Buying Bonus Points Deer & ELK?

Just curious on the deadline to buy bonus points for deer and elk?
I have never bought wyoming points i'm a NR and I know I wouldn't stand a chance drawing a deer tag in region G and I'm not sure where I want to hunt elk at in wyoming I'd like to archery hunt in sept. but as for this year I just want to start buying points.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-19-17 AT 09:29AM (MST)[p]They are not called bonus points in Wyoming, as Wyoming is strictly a preference point state along with a percentage of tags going to a random draw. The PP application time period for deer, elk, and antelope is 7/1-10/31 and they cost $40, $50, and $30 respectively.

PS: I have no idea how the previous poster came up with his answer that is incorrect.

Yep Mike, that's a head-scratcher.

He just didn't want the OP to crowd the deadline too close and miss out. LOL

May not be correct but the Huntin Fool License Application Service Guide 2017 says points only deadline is Oct 26 for Wyoming.

Late October 31 when I thought the deadline is if you only want to purchase a preference point and not hunt.

Otherwise for elk if you want to apply to have a chance of hunting, you have until the end of January. For deer it is the end of May if I remember correctly. Check the Wyoming hunting guide for sure.

Simple answer is because the HF Service needs paying customer's information into their office by 5/26 so they have enough time to apply for them before the Wyoming 5/31 deadline.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-21-17 AT 08:10AM (MST)[p]The 7/1 to 10/31/17 is correct. As Jim Carry would say( so there's a chance) is correct also on drawing a region G tag maybe not much of one but can't win if ya don't play!!!
