Sheep Moose Goat Bison

Good luck guys. I know the feeling drew my sheep tag last year on 18 points. I kind of miss the feeling of anticipation. Its not quite the same for mt goat, moose or buffalo.

The heck with it I will take the other approach: at least I will soon be getting like $6000 back on my CC. Maybe knowing I won't draw will help :)

For the non preference point states like Idaho do any of you look at the odds before you to see if you have been drawn? I do it in Idaho and in Colo for Mtn Goats. Yes, I'm strange. today for Bison and Mtn goat also. Good luck to all

That is great news!!!!
If anyone deserves that tag you are the one. you have been waiting and scouting for a long time for that tag. Enjoy the hunt. if you shoot it when I am out there on my son's elk hunt let me know and we will help you pack it out.
Congrats!!!!

YEEHAW! Way to go MightyHunter! There will be one big ram that will be in trouble this year! Best of luck, enjoy!

That's great!
Sounds like you know the area a heck of a lot better than myself, but I wonder around the great country some, if I find anything special I'll let you know

I also finally drew Area 1 sheep, and I'm also old, and my knees are just OK.

Only one of the eleven non-residents with MAX points of 22 going into the 2017 sheep draw applied, pulling a tag for Unit 12, and leaving ten to go into the preference-point draw. These ten are what is remaining from about 1,450 NRs in the MAX point pool following the initial 1995 draw. We will have to wait for November to see how many bought another preference point to carry over to the 2018 draw.

You'll get a big one in 38.Lots of room to roam and pick one out.
We've taken 2 bulls out of 26 , that will be a good hunt too. Congrats, you should bow hunt them.

HT,

Is it economics or health issues holding these other 10 max points holders back from applying? Or do you see it as a combination of both or a different factor?

I cannot believe how few max point holders actually apply for a tag!!!

Zeke

Yeah I'm definitely planning on bowhunting my moose for sure. I drew an ID moose tag a two years ago and shot a decent one with a gun. Really looking forward to this hunt!

Congrats to all that drew out.

I just got back from a 4 dayer up in G/H deer and filming some of #20 moose for a bud that drew it.

Anyone need intel on 23 or 26 give me a shout out--no problem sharing.
