Wyoming draw question

I should know the answer to this but I am going to ask anyway. Maybe I am need of some abuse I don't know. I want to wait another year to draw a deer tag in Wyoming when my son will be home. We have planned on going together for some time. On the other hand, I am tired of waiting and want to hunt up there this year so my question is, If I apply for a random tag do I lose my points if I draw? Thanks for reading this, I will now put on my helmet and wait.

Points are only lost if you draw your first choice. So if you draw in the random draw on your first choice you will loose your points.

As stated, you lose your points if you draw your first choice. You can't just apply for the Random Draw since everyone first goes into the PP Draw and then if not drawn into the Random Draw and you lose them in either draw if you are drawn for your first choice.
