More, less, or the same on points

So... Do you guys think with the bad winter that it will require less points to draw this year? However, the prices go up next year, so people might try to cash in this year. I think it will be similar to last year. Sure, it will depend on the region. I am trying to draw an antelope tag in Western Wyoming. Don't want to go special, but I think I probably should.

From what I have heard people who normally apply for G and H, they are planning to apply like normal. Yes, few tags will make odds worse, but there are hunters who don't want to burn their points on a winter killed herd as well.

Honestly, I don't think the fee increase will stop anyone in the future if they are already holding points.

In the end you will probably need a many points as last year to draw if not one more to account for point creep.

Tag reductions will matter in areas that didn't usually have leftovers.
I would check for that before you make your choice.
I personally feel that the winter kill will mostly affect the trophy opportunity more in 3 to 5 years from now. Most of the kill should have been the yearlings. Obviously some of the very old died also, but the future of big bucks was the real loss.
Many are seriously worried and won't apply this year, but most people have planned their hunts for years and will still go for it. I'm sure still applying.
