I cashed in my elk points and drew a 25-27 elk tag. I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole lust not sure what to expect. Has anyone hunted it before? I'm headed over there scouting to learn my way around. Where is a good place to start.
Thanks
Have been researching the Wyoming elk units for years.
Sorry to say that I haven't heard good things about 25 bull elk hunting.
Heard that a 260 class bull is a shooter for sure, so you might not want to pass many branch antlered elk.
The cow hunt may also be a little challenging depending on weather and pressure.
Don't shoot the messenger!
Hope you have time to scout a few days before season opener.
Good luck and hope you do better than I've heard from others.
I think you are going to find a lot of snow banks still. I haven't been out yet but a week ago it was still over 250% for snow pack. That being said, when that melts, don't get off the main roads and some of them can be slimey

We are looking the 24th of June. I hope we can get around a bit by then. We are just mainly looking to stat on the main roads maybe driving around the units. How's
the hunting typically?
The desert area will be a typical desert hunt. Lots of miles and letting your optics walk. Towards the mnt could be the same with trees or could be the first patch of timber has a good bull.
