Utah Moose

LAST EDITED ON Jun-17-17 AT 03:45PM (MST)[p]Just got word today that a friend of mine and John (my best buddy in Wyoming) drew a NR bull moose tag in Utah with odds that were 1 in 2 or 3 thousand. There were only 3 units open to NRs and just several tags available. John and I are hoping Gary decides to make it a DIY hunt so we can go along to help and have some more fun besides our planned hunts in Wyoming.

Congrats. I have 19 points for moose, but realistically it will be 10-15 years before I'm in the running for a tag. Anybody out there looking to help an 85 yr old find a bull? Bwahahaha

I too have good knowledge/experience in the North Slope, West Daggett I can definitely help

I hike all the time in the Ogden unit and spend some time in the Cache unit up Logan Canyon.

No problem sharing intel or doing some scouting for ya'll.

Thanks Robb! It looks like whatever unit Gary drew that we'll be getting some help. My buddy travishunter3006 on here lives in Ogden and said he can also help with some scouting when we find out where the tag is good for.

If you find out its the wasatch, I can help quite a bit. Not sure if they have any NR tags, but I assume they do. Big units, lots of moose. Some dandys too, if patient. Let me know if it is Wasatch!

You all will not believe this, but we just got an email from Gary and somehow he got so excited drawing a moose tag that he told us it was for Utah when it is actually for a hard to draw tag in the nw unit north of I-90 in Idaho! Thanks to those who offered their help in Utah. Now if anyone has any knowledge of that area up in nw Idaho we're open for help there, LOL!
