Three of us applied as a party for antelope (5,5,4 points) averaged to 4.67. Results this morning say Unsuccessful. I look at the odds and see those with 5 points the quota was 81, they issued 46. For <5 quota was 35, they issued 14. For 4 quota was 21 and they issued the remaining tags.

With 4.67 we should have been drawn.

Any ideas why we weren't drawn? I called the offices and the lady tried to tell me it was because of Lander Owner Permits, what?? She had no idea, so she said she'd look into and get back with me.

What unit/ area and type did you apply for?
Did you check regs for type limitations.
Maybe you accidentally applied for a tag type you didn't mean to.

Would like to know what happened so myself or others don't go through same problem.

Yeah that doesn't make any sense. Are you sure you are looking at odds for the right category - special vs regular? And are you sure every party member had those points you stated?

My guess is that one or more of the point totals you gave were not correct or you applied incorrectly. Did each of you already have those points saved up because the draw doesn't use any that you buy this year. Those aren't good until 2018. Check what I mentioned and get back on this thread and let us know please.

They do make mistakes. I few years back I called them on one made on a elk tag my son should have drawn. Ended up being a huge glitch on their part. I would keep on them if you are sure of all the things on your part!

Yep, the guy with 4 points really only had 2. G&F was very helpful. Lesson learned, make sure you know for certain those in your party truly have the correct number of points, don't just take their word for it.

Dam thats a bummer he just cost you boys double fees next year!

Yep, I'd be paying him a visit and asking him to pay the difference in license fees if you draw next year thanks to that screw up!

Looks like a lot of draws will be random draws now on,if I had just one extra point I could have drawn 57 antelope.
