Unit 25 Antelope

My daughter and my son have drawn this tag. I am excited to get them both out for their first antelope hunt. Obviously they drew this as a second choice and we know that there is a lot of private property issues with this unit. We are willing to do the work and whatever is necessary to harvest some animals. That being said does anybody have any pointers, or information on people I could call to access private property? Or general areas that we could go to to find a little bit of success? Just looking to give my 13 and 14-year-olds a fun time. Thanks for any help given in advance!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-30-17 AT 03:11PM (MST)[p]Part of unit 25 is in eastern Natrona County and part in western Converse County. There are not many public roads in the unit that give legal access to the BLM lands. The G&F no longer maintains names of ranchers that allow access for free or a trespass fee, but it doesn't hurt to call both the GW and Game Biologist that work the area to see what they have to offer. You can google the counties and get maps right online showing the roads they maintain that are legal for the public to travel, so you will need those along with the BLM map of the unit and a chip for your GPS showing the land ownership so you know at all times where you are to stay legal and avoid trespass charges. Good luck and have fun with the kids!
