I got this pic off my trail cam behind my cabin. I believe this is a black bear. My wife is convinced its a grizzly. What say you? The only thing that gives me any pause are the feet.

My place is on the Hoback Rim so its on the southern end of grizz country but more black bears than grizz for sure. He has been hanging around for a couple weeks. I have another pic of him from a week ago but not on me at the moment. It is a good side shot of his head

Tough to tell from that pic, it has me leaning towards grizz. It looks like a hump and hair color change looks that way also. Ive been wrong before though!

I'm certainly no grizzly expert as I haven't seen but a few in a zoo. But I am a Taxidermist that handles over a hundred black bears a year.

That doesn't look like a black bear to me.

If the side view has a hump, then a grizz if not then a black bear.

From that pic, I would guess black bear because I don't see a hump and his ears look rounded, but I could be wrong!

Here is the side shot from a week earlier. Clearly looks like a black bear to me. I am assuming its the same bear.

I keep telling my wife that most everyone on MM and OYOA is saying black bear so she is backing off her "must sell cabin" stance. :D I appreciate everyone's responses.
