Gen elk tag

Hi, This is my first post here but i have been visiting this site since 2011. I have a general elk tag and was thinking about a late cow hunt because i have some time off work. i called game and fish and she mentioned unit 66 . Do you think this is worth going ,is there access or ranches that allow hunters for a reasonable fee? By the way i hunted unit 12 archery 2 weeks and came close several times had fun. Went back for a week of rifle could not find them.

I would not travel very far from home this late in the year to go there for a cow unless I went on the private ranches in the HMA in the link below that consists of over 106,000 acres.

Thanks TOPGUN, I looked at the link ,if i do come that is an option. I live in Illinois so it is a long drive. I should just stay here and bowhunt whitetails. I will let you know what i do.
