NR with 4 deer points seeking thoughts

Any units worth looking into a DIY (or drop camp) deer hunt for two non-residents in 2018. Not looking for booner bucks but rather a good hunt with opportunity to harvest respectable deer. Both of us have hunted plenty and live in the west but trying to navigate the WY draw and wilderness restrictions for high country. Most hunting has been in CO, UT and ID in the past.

Any help or thoughts would be welcomed. Appreciate it gents.

There is actually plenty of information out on the net if you do your homework. It's getting so that most don't care to give much information to a person that comes on a website like this with a first post asking for the kind of help you want. I'd help, but you are sort of in no mans land with 4 points and there isn't much I can offer. Maybe look at Region R up on the west side of the Big Horns if you are experienced hunters and want to pack in to get away from the crowd since you can probably do that in the two northern units in that Region, but it doesn't take 4 PPs to draw R. Then there are always units in grizzly country on the west side of the state if you aren't afraid to deal with them.

There are always a few real good bucks in H. Takes time and effort to find them, but there are a few.

Yep, that's sort of where I was talking about and 4 PPs would draw that tag and I guess there are quite a few areas in H that don't have grizzlies.

Appreciate the info, I have been a member on the website for years but my username must have been reset so I had to reactivate it. Happy to be back and active. I am more of a reader on these pages than a poster but thought I would give it a try.

There are no deer left in H!! Please save your points and apply elsewhere?
If I was a NR with 4 pts that's exactly where I would be applying. It's a shame people like you can't enjoy the wilderness in Wyoming. I know there is a huge chunk in H, but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called. Good luck...

WOW!! I never thought about it that way!! Kool!

I have a street named after me...well, actually, it is named after someone else with the same name. But I still stood next to the sign and took my picture! :D :D

Region D. Put in the work to get away from the roads. Population numbers are good right now and antler restrictions have been lifted in most areas.
