WY ELK, I want to draw general area second choice and not loose my points.

I got 5 points, my friend has 5 points, and my other friends got 0 points and there are 3 of them. We want to all put in together and draw the general tag if that is still possible but only if we can draw it for second choice and not loose our points. I know it used toward like this so I was wondering if this is still possible. We got 5 people and 10 points total.

With the increased price this year, it may be possible to draw a 2nd choice general in the special. No one will know for sure, but I would be willing to bet that less people will be putting in the special draw this year.

I personally dont think the odds are going to change that much with the new prices on special draw

I agree and it may even cause an increase in applications when a lot of people think there will be less competition due to the price increase and it will have just the opposite effect. Even if less apply it would have to be quite a few to allow a second choice to get the general tag the way it went the last couple years with all the publicity about that.

After looking at the odds again I agree. I doubt 1000 people with drop out of the special draw. So, my updated conclusion is slim to none.

I'm in a similar boat. But, want to make sure I understand Wyomings system. A second choice app will only draw after all first choice have drawn correct? Also, if you draw your first choice you lose all of your points regardless of what tag you draw. For example, even if you draw a cow tag or a general tag, if it was your first choice your points are gone. Am I understanding things correctly?
