When have the results usually come out in the past for the nonresident Elk draw? If I remember correctly there is a backdoor method, correct?

It will be up on the day the G&F website says it will be and probably not much before that, if any, and NO, there no longer is any backdoor method because they now refund your credit card AFTER they post the draw results. The backdoor method had been going to the Wyoming website to check and see if Wyoming had you on the list for a refund check.

I will have my results before they're posted, just like last year. My method is still valid because I haven't told anybody.

I've been able to get them a day early the last two years also.

It will be interesting to see what a lot of the odds were/are for elk, deer, and antelope this year after these fee increases. I, for one, would never pay full price to get a Type 4 tag and especially not now the way the prices went up for the full price tags.

I would be surprised if it ever requires points to draw a full priced cow elk tag again. I also wish I was smart enough to not apply for them as a second choice.

I essentially know my results before they come out to usually since I have virtually no odds of drawing.

I too am interested in the type 4 license odds though. I used 2 points for one a few years ago and had a fun hunt but with the fee increase I'm not sure I'll do that again.

This year I did not put type 4 as a second choice as I didn't want that expensive of a cow tag.

I'm just grateful that Wyoming lets you know the results way faster than any other state. Like a kid at Christmas it's hard to wait but I put in for 51-9 and am ready with my bear spray and 44 mag so can't wait tell the 22nd to find out. Also curious how the tag fee increases will affect all draw odds. I'll bet it doesn't change them much.

I'd suggest that since you know how easy it is that you do it yourself. Why should others waste their valuable time on something like that when you say you know how to do it and must just be too lazy and want someone else to do it for you! I help plenty of people on this and other websites, but that post of yours will not get an answer from me and I hope nobody else answers it either! Geez, some people!

You wasted more time than just typing $288, $51. I thought that was always the fee. Just thought I was missing something. Thanks for your reply!

Why would I type those incorrect numbers you posted?, and yes, you are missing something---the correct fees! It looks like you had better go back in the booklet and get the correct figures because the NR cost is higher and the resident cost is lower than you quoted, LOL! PS: Is your real name really Zach Montana, as that probably isn't accurate either?

No problems TG. Just thought this public thread needed the price increase. I usually don't buy cow tags but thought I'd buy one in wyoming adventually cause of the reasonably price but then again maybe not? Some insults thrown out there toward me but its all good. I Laugh at myself all the time. Goodluck hunting and thanks for your replys.

All that was posted was the truth about the prices that you incorrectly stated and where to find the answer, but I figured you knew that already, so sorry for the "insults"! It really does get tiresome sometimes when people ask questions that are easily answered just by taking a couple minutes and reading previous threads or doing a search on the G&F website, which explains everything pretty well. I try to help others as much or more than most others on several websites that I visit, but your question definitely hit a nerve when you said you knew the answer was on the G&F website, but asked us for the answer, rather than looking it up yourself. When you came back and were wrong to boot along with your fake username it resulted in what I posted, so I'm sorry if you were offended.

What I do to find out the draw results is have my friends teenage computer guru hack the website. It's seems so easy as he's spitting out all this computer jargon. This year he has me in the random draw so it's in my favor "random" Wink Wink!

Right wink wink!!! I would not be making stupid posts like that out on any website, especially a big popular one like this!

I just looked it up and I see the same $288 for NR. Resident looks like it's $43. I could be wrong but that's what I'm seeing so topgun I'm not sure why you say the non resident cow elk tag is more? Unless you're including the $15 application fee? But yes it does appear you're right about the resident fee being less than what Zach posted.

Dang, do I have to "splain" everything, LOL! The total money that has to be submitted with a resident application in the initial draw for a cow/calf reduced price tag is $48 ($43 fee + $5 application fee) and the total for a NR is $303 ($288 fee + $15 application fee). The mandatory application fee is waived AFTER the initial drawing for the second go around and for leftover licenses.

LMAO!!! Topgun you have made me laugh for almost 2 weeks now. Let me get that hook out of your throat as this troll didn't just snag you.

Seriously why do people think they need to find out 1 or 2 days before everyone else what tag they drew? It's not going to change anything. Is it just a grade school thing? I knew before you did or what?

BTW Kruschev says you didn't draw anything this year. Sorry>/\<

Glad you're getting a good laugh! The reason I made that last post regarding your "wink wink" is because some might take that comment about the kid hacking the system as not too funny after the guy did exactly that to the G&F system last year to apply 100 time for a sheep tag and is now up on charges! The other deal about the back door possibility is because when people put out a lot of money for a draw and have other ones they are thinking about applying for the quicker they want to know the results of the Wyoming draw. IMHO it's not a "grade school thing" or an "I knew before you did" thing!

I didn't know about the sheep hack. The backdoor with the early results you have plenty of time for any other draws considering most of them you will have fronted the money for anyway.

Did the guy actually draw the tag?

WapitiBob, Did you draw?

I did get an E-Mail saying results will be available at 10:00 AM on the 22nd. I assume that is Mountain Time.

From the information that has been put out by the G&F they got onto him before the draw when they found he had entered the draw I believe 99 times in just several minutes.

The wait is about over, I have my finger hovering over the order button for all the maps I want to buy for the area I put in for!!!

Nope they say 10am tomorrow morning is the magic time. For the first time ever I'm hoping to draw where the grizzlies are.

That's not a good attitude Forky! Lol...I figure if I do get it back, I'll turn right around and try to burn the Deer Points next! Least I can wait a month or so though... ;-)
