The Deer Draw

IMHO I would say it will to some extent after looking at the crazy stats in the elk odds that just came out with the draw yesterday. A number of elk units had a lot worse odds in the special than in the regular with the the same or nearly the same number of points. The points needed for a 100% draw for a general tag also keep going up every year.

I have six going in the regular and hoping to draw a region G deer unless I draw a Colorado deer tag first. Last year six gave you an 86% chance in the regular. How do you guys think it will look this year?
LAST EDITED ON Feb-24-18 AT 02:47PM (MST)[p]Points to draw it will keep going up and if you want to hunt G with your 6PPs this season I'd pay the extra cash and put in for the special draw. It's really either that or keep buying points and that will be more money anyway. Did you already apply in the Regular Draw? If you did, you would have to withdraw from it and start all over and not expect a refund until after the draw in June.

Thanks for the advice. We will see what the rest of the draws bring and then make a decision.

Colorado usually has a backdoor. Also, this year you should see a credit card hit because they have switched up the draw process.
