NR Elk license allocation public meetings

I said no changes to the nonresident system unless they want to lower fees and give us more tags. Make general tags available for purchase instead of having to draw them. I would also not be upset if they eliminated the nonresident preference point system.

Good luck to everyone with all future draws and hunts.

Keep the NR point system with the random draw they have now. Make it a choose a weapon hunt like most other states for all elk tags (inc Gen). Adding archery only gen tags could boost the number of NR tags. Face it they want the money, we want to opportunity. Very few NR hunt with both gun and bow anyway. That should make the type 1 tags easier to draw too as they don't have to compete with archery hunters looking for better draw odds.

Maybe it's time to separate Res and NR tags and seasons. I'd be up for a split archery season like NM too. You can't hunt if you don't draw a tag, so this could improve the odds and reduce the crowding. So would eliminating the special archery season for type 1,4,5 tags. They could add archery only cow tags too (maybe as a second tag).

How about split the allocation 50/50 resident/NR and lower NR fees to the same as residents?
That should about do it...

The app dates is the only problem I have as a nonresident. Good luck with any other change.
