8 in the special draw. I thought for sure it would take 9 in the special draw this year. 9 out of 10 with 8 points drew in the non-resident special with 8 points. This morning when I looked at the odds I was sure I was the one that didn't draw!!!

Drew my deer tag and 2 doe antelope tags. Our friend in ND already drew his bull tag with 8 PPs in the Special Draw in February. My resident buddy in Sheridan drew his bull and cow tags along with his "gimme" general deer tag, but struck out on his buck antelope tag after getting one in our unit for 6 straight years! I'll be out there all of September and October again chasing all kinds of critters. Life is good, especially after that cancer scare I had in December last year!

128 late whitetail buck, and also two reduced price doe tags. Guess the freezer will be full this year. :)

Congrats TOPGUN on your tags and especially your clean health!
I too will be out there in area 7 chasing elk, while my wife and oldest daughter are hunting deer and antelope. You said it, life is good!

Didn't draw my 1st choice antelope tag, but got a poor 2nd choice.

Did draw a couple doe antelope tags and a couple doe deer tags. Will get a GEN deer tag to go with my NV late season deer tag.

Drew 57-1 10 points special draw NR, only chance to draw looking at draw odd results for 2018. Point creep is alive and well.

My buddy and I drew antelope tags for 95-1 in the regular draw. He had 6 points, I had 8, so in at 7. It was guaranteed at < 8.
7 points was 19.23% odds, with a quota of 5, 6 distributed (obviously a group app for the extra tag, maybe us?), with 26 first choice applicants. That was in the PP pool, the random was 8 tags out of 444 first choice applicants. My question is, because I wasn?t in the guaranteed pool, is there anyway to know what pool I drew from for sure? I'm sure there is, I'm just missing something obvious...
Thanks!

There actually isn't any way to know if you weren't in a 100% draw pool.

67-1 Antelope for me. My first speedgoat hunt- burned my 9 NR points. If I see a big muley buck I will pass on info to anyone with the 90-1 deer tag. I plan on going in October for my antelope.

I got what the little boy shot at.

I figured with the price increase a lot of max point holders would go for the special draw thinking the odds would be better so I went with regular. . they were right, special had double the draw rate of regular in 128.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-22-18 AT 05:46PM (MST)[p]My 12 year old son drew the "special" archery only bull tag in area 100!

He also drew area 58 buck antelope, and a additional cow tag.

Older son drew just the additional cow. He will be very upset when he gets back from Greece and finds out how his brother did compared to him.

Nothing for me, but that's ok, I will be plenty busy!

Drew deer region H. First year hunting Wyoming. I have been with others in region G a couple times, but never stepped foot in H. Should be a good horse ride hunting the high country.

Drew 45-1 for elk and yesterday drew 75 antelope buck and 2 doe tags for #73! Should be a great year! Also a good cow tag in my home state of Washington. Gonna be sharing some meat this year! Congrats on everyone that drew and best of luck to all of ya!

I was able to get a good deer tag and a couple doe pronghorn. I look foward to enjoyable hunts in Wyoming this fall

>What did G take this year
>as a Non Res?

Regular was 100% with <7 and 6 was 82%. Special was 100% with <6 and 5 was 19.4%.

>Drew my Whitetail tag but struck
>out for Antelope.

Ha oilcan vice versa for me and I was really looking forward to chasing some whiteys!!

I hunted 31 for bulls too but probably 8 years ago. I'll probably spend a little time there. I'll let u know if I see anything good.

The antelope tag I applied for went from 100% last year to 0% this year at my point level. Glad I didn't make any reservations. Frustratingly, couple of the other tags I considered actually got easier to draw this year but I didn't see that coming and picked wrong. Looks to me like the price change resulted in some quirky stuff happening, or maybe it always jumps around this much and I just haven't noticed. Oh well. Next year.

I'm with you on the quirky stuff! The unit we applied for went from 100% with <3 to 50% with 5. Of course the Eastman blog two days before application deadline pointing this unit out had nothing to do with this....But as you said there is always next year.
