Antelope doe tags?

Probably . . . . The leftover drawing results are supposed to post on Thursday, 12 July, and there are likely to be tags left over for sale "over the counter". They will likely be for areas that don't have any public access. They are some of the areas that have the asterisk "difficult public access - for real!" If you don't have access somewhere, you might get someone to allow you on private if you show up after the buck (antelope and deer) seasons close, but that is not guaranteed.

Another thing to take notice of is the license Type and what that means. In some areas there may be numerous licenses (both any antelope and doe/fawn antelope) leftover, BUT those could be Type 2 or Type 7 which are restricted to private land.

Don't get caught in that situation - make sure check what TYPE of license you are purchasing; don't buy a license just because there are a bunch available in an area.

I bet the left over list is pretty pitiful. did anyone else see that there was a 20% increase in NR applying for doe antelope tags this year? units that have been on the left over list in years past weren't even available as a 2nd choice this year!

Very true, the demand for left over antelope license, both any antelope and doe/fawn antelope has skyrocketed the last 4-5 years, especially in northeast/north central WY.

Not that many years ago a person could go into a sporting goods store and purchase a Type 1 license on the last day of the season as there were several hunt areas where the licenses did not sell out. Same with doe/fawn licenses.

Since that hard winter which prompted game and fish to cut tags it's been a highly competitive process to grab some doe tags. Just look at the point creep for a buck tag too as that's gotten pretty wild itself. We'll get there again just not soon enough IMO.

I drew a resident doe tag this year. I had a 69% chance of drawing it odds show...lol. Put in for it to take the kids out. Struck out on a buck tag for the 7th year in a row...used to be automatic...lol...not any more! However, I've got 2 elk tags (could of had 3) and that's what really fills the freezer.
