LAST EDITED ON Jul-16-18 AT 01:27PM (MST)[p]Edit: I am already off to a bad start.... I cant even spell random right.

I am planning my trip to SW WY next year for antelope and elk.

I was wondering if anyone who lives there, has hunted there, or has travelled through there could recommend "must see" sites or good local food joints.
I'm a foodie and love dives and mom & pops places.

I'll be entering WY on I80 and will be cutting NW up 191 at Rock Springs towards the Jackson area.

I know it's early, but I am losing my mind now waiting for elk season, so I may as well start my plans for next year

I'll be making the trip a few times too, so the more places I can explore or eat at, the better!

Bon Rico in Evanston has as good a steak as you can get anywhere. Typically you need to make reservations in advance.

>The original JC Penny?s in Kemmerer
>and Penny?s house. Fossil
>Butte is cool too.

I appreciate the spots! I'll be doing 1-2 scouting trips, one of which will be with the family, so I'll stop just about anywhere if it's worth it!

>Hit grubs in RS for a
>artery clogging burger.
>Probably on your way home

You?re the second person who has mentioned that spot to me so far.... I am absolutely stopping in there...
The other person mentioned food good and fries covered in gravy. YUM!

It's hard for me to pass a good steak joint. I appreciate the recommendation!

All American Fuel in

La Barge has a crock pot full of sausage gravy, and real biscuits in the mornings.

I stop there every time through.

Consider this one also added....
I'm a breakfast fanatic and I love some proper biscuits and gravy!
