gohunt.com. Anyone use this sight ? They are running a 30day free deal right now then it's 149.00 a year after that, is it really that good ?

All of the gohunt data is publically available if you do your own research at each of the State's agencies online. Which I do, and love, so I didn't resubscribe to gohunt this past year. I combine my own research along with participation on a bunch of forums for info to develop my personal hunt strategies.

I find the site interesting. It gives ya a starting point and can do further research from there. I think it's worth it if you are the type of person the applies to multiple states. I apply/collect points in 10 states so it is a big help and time saver for me. If you just hunt one or 2 states, use their dnr pages and save the money.

I have a membership and like it because it saves me time which is money and because of my busy schedule already it's valuable to me. I also apply for 8 states so the time to make sure my applications are in and on time is a lot of time in it's self. So I like it just for the fact that it saves me time.

You can often find a talking head (Jay Scott, Randy Newberg, someone like that) that has a discount code for the subscription. That will save a little bit of $. Time is money- I could do all the research myself, but if you are applying to several states then I feel the approx. $100-$150 is money well spent and then that time saved can be spent on any number of other priorities. Better yet- if you have a buddy that wants to "share" a subscription then you could go that route and split the cost.

I can see where you working "stiffs" and guys with a family might see the benefit with the time savings having it available. For me being retired, I have more than enough time to do all the work myself and I enjoy it along with helping others on stuff I come across when they ask questions.

For the nut and bolts of all draw odds for a fraction of the cost ( no talking heads) it's Hunterstrailhead . Jon will pick up your call and answer questions should they arise . I love his site and use it often.

The information that they have is already available on the state fish and game websites, their service is basically a search engine of the states data base which will save you the time of having to navigate through states Fish&Game website, of which some are better than others. As for their draw odds they originally marketed themselves as primarily that, a draw odds website, but their odds aren't anything special, toprut is more accurate I've found for the units I've hunted. But gohunt has a few more features that allow you search multiple units at once, which again just basically saves you time

Haven't used the site I use Epic for $100 a year. If they are similar it's worth it to me to save the time. Again I put in for multiple state for multiple species so I consider it a big help especially since quality hunting have become either a big dollar or a lot of saved points game.
