My son and I drew deer and antelope tags. Antelope is taken care of, but haven't got a clue about region D deer. Any help will be appreciated. Where to start? What unit has the most public land? Etc.,etc.... Thanks in advance. PC

Paul you need to go in the Hunt Planner on the G&F website and look up each unit and a map will come up. When that ooads then go up to the top right and click on the PDF map and it will load and show you the public land in the unit. If you also would go onto the County website of where the units are located, you should be able to bring up a map of all the publicly maintained roads in the unit and then match that up with your G&F map and it's even better to have a paper BLM map of them to match up the roads on it to see which ones legally touch or go through public land that you can hunt.

Hey Paul, spend some money and take a class in school and forget the BUD.

TOPGUN has some good advice. I also like the paper BLM maps. For me, they are much easier to fold out and see the big picture than trying to see it on a little screen on a phone or GPS.
