Sad day for the hunting community!

Was extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Jason Hairston today! Definitely one of the leading innovators in the hunting industry! He strived to provide quality, lighter products and was constantly pushing other companies to do the same. Rumor mill is suicide. Taken with a grain of salt but may point back to CTE from football in college and the pros. Such a sad day! Thoughts and prayers with his family and friends!

It was suicide and the cause was catastrophic CTE brain damage to the frontal lobe of his brain that was diagnosed by scans some time ago. Of 111 NFL players that have died and had their brains examined in postmortem testing 110 had brain damage from the constant beating the brain takes when the head is jostled violently like it is in football, boxing, and other violent sports. No helmet can ever be made protect the brain from damage since it moves within the skull and the helmet is designed to protect external injuries. RIP Jason and may your family recover as much as possible from this tragedy.
