I am a non resident with 12 points going into 2019, one short of max. I am looking at units 61,62,63-64 mainly.
I'm having a hard time finding guided hunt options under $7-8K. I'd prefer a semi guided or even better a resident with horses and grizzly know how that could take me into the wilderness areas. I'm open to both Sept hunt or a late season. Mostly interested in rifle but an archery first option would be great too. 61-1 and 61-2 look like great options and TrailsWest looks like a great operation but again, hoping for less expensive options and not finding anything. I'm an experienced elk hunter in my mid 40s and healthy and able to hike etc. Might be a long shot but any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Can?t believe it's already application season again!

Because you're a non-resident you'll need to be outfitted in wilderness areas. You probably already knew that ;-)

I'm a NR also so needed an outfitter and wanted to focus on archery. I did 61-1 this year with Trails West / Shoshone Lodge.

He doesn't need to be outfitted to go in a Wyoming wilderness area just as he mentioned. As he stated, he can also have a resident with a hunting license take him and they would just need to sign off as his guide on an appropriate F&G form showing he's not receiving any kind of remuneration for doing so. Nice bull there grizzly, especially with a bow!

Thanks for clarification. IIRC correctly there was some formality required but that's probably the form you're referencing.

Since you don't have the points to draw the late hunts you can look at places besides Cody.

That's a beautiful bull Grizz congrats! Thanks for the thoughts guys. Hoping I can find something that fits my budget and sounds like a fun, awesome hunts to use my 12 points on.

Awesome bull Grey! How big is your trophy room? Between you and your wife, you guys have taken some incredible animals.

Thanks man. We got lucky and got the biggest bull we saw which is way more than we could've asked for. Its been a good run the last few years so hopefully we can keep it going. I hope everything is going well for you and yours.
