Maps

I'm preparing now to hunt unit G next fall. I want to start researching the unit now so I can put the boots on the ground for pre season scouting. If anyone has any suggestions on maps that can be purchased that show trailheads or other reference points that would be great. Just trying to get an idea on where to direct my attention when deciding where to scout. It's a big area to cover so if I can narrow my search to specific trailheads or roads. Thanks!

OnX app is very impressive. Someone on here also told me about mytopo.com

You can order hard copies of customizable maps. Havent found a good area yet so I haven't ordered any maps but appears to have some great details if you want a hard copy.

MyTopo.com, is the way to go for me.
If you can read a map and use a compass, these maps will be all you need.
I use them almost exclusively.
Affordable too.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have used the mytopo maps in the past and find them to be good. I tried the onx map and was impressed. After looking over the maps it appears that the better area might be unit 144. For those that have hunted G is 144 where the majority of hunters go to hunt?

I haven't any knowledge of G to give.
You may want to start a new thread with a subject title about G.
But a search on the sites past posts will probably help some.
Hopefully you have the points to successfully draw a tag there.
