Considering Antelope Areas 32, 73, 81, 87. Anybody have first hand experience (good or bad) with these? Feel free to PM if preferred. Lodging access is a consideration as camping with my dad is probably not an option.

hunted 73 in 2016. Had a good time. Plenty of animals to look over and lots of cookie cutter bucks in the 12-13 inch range. It was difficult to find anything much bigger but if you put some time in you likely will. Probably a lot like most of Wyoming...
I'd say between the 4 of us hunting we saw 2 exceptional bucks in our 5-6 days of hunting and we took one 16 inch buck. Other bucks were all cookie cutter type, but we certainly had a lot of fun and saw plenty of critters.
Went second week of season so many folks had already tagged out and i suspect a few nice bucks had already found pickup rides to a nearby freezer. But with less people the hunt was very enjoyable.

Casper is right there for a place to stay. Careful of the roads if it rains... gooey mess that will stick on your truck for months!
Haven't hunted any of the other units you've mentioned so I can't really compare...

Good Luck,
Dman

I hunted 32 around 2011. It was an okay hunt but not overly impressive, However in all fairness I really didn't put much time into unit. Saw allot of animals but there was allot of checkerboard private/public with majority on private.

Thanks Dman and Muley.
Still thinking on this one. 32 and 73 should be pretty straight-forward for me since I've been to Casper before to hunt 47. The other units mentioned have caught my attention, but would be branching out to new territory and towns (Cody and Pinedale). Anybody have perspective on how any of these areas compare to 47, which I've hunted before?

Leaning toward 73. Would welcome any input on that selection before I apply. Is it like a 45 minute drive from Casper to get to the main blocks of BLM in the northern part where I assume most of the hunting will be?

Have hunted unit 32 twice. Lots of bucks both times.there is a large hunter management area that allows you to hunt a lot of private land for free. See HMA info on f&g website

32 has a lot of snow piled up currently. The g&f actually proposes to add 100 tags this year. I'm not so sure that is a good idea...
