Killed (slaughtered) 113 deer...Wyoming has its share of Wackos too....

from today's Sheridan Press....

SHERIDAN ? A 62-year-old man turned himself into the Sheridan County Sheriff?s Office Tuesday for 11 counts of poaching. He made an initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court Tuesday.

Gregg Lambdin faces 11 counts of wanton destruction of trophy or big game animals in Sheridan County after allegedly killing deer in Sheridan County between July 2016 and November 2018. Wanton destruction is ruthless or needless killing of wildlife.
The first two charges, from July 2016 to November 2017 and December 2017 to March 2018, are high misdemeanors, which each carry punishment of one year imprisonment and a $10,000 fine. Each additional charge within a 10-year time period results in a felony offense. The other nine charges Lambdin faces are felony offenses, which each carry a punishment of two years imprisonment and $5,000 to $10,000 in fines.

Lambdin, in total, faces up to 20 years in prison and fines up to $110,000.

Sheridan-based Wyoming Game and Fish Department wardens learned from Sheridan County residents on Nov. 20, 2018, that they had seen their neighbor, Lambdin, beating a deer on his property. The residents continued to observe Lambdin and saw him dragging several bloated carcasses of white-tailed deer around his property with a lawn mower.

Another hunter on land adjacent to Lambdin?s property noticed several deer carcasses in the thickets when hunting in 2017.
After in-depth investigation of the man and his property, a WGFD investigator observed and video taped Lambdin killing a deer and leaving the carcass on his property.

In all, 113 deer and one antelope were killed illegally, with one deer killed legally with a deer license on his property when a friend came to hunt with him. He said that he killed fawns, does and bucks like others kill prairie dogs, but that ?unfortunately the law did not see it that way,? court documents said.
Lambdin was released Tuesday after Norris Alan Carlson paid the $10,000 cash-only bond. Lambdin is not allowed to have contact with neighbors or anyone listed in the case information. A preliminary hearing has not yet been set.

He used a riding lawn mower to drag the deer across his property to dispose of them in a gully.

My mind is creating a vision of this idiot riding around in a lawn mower in broad daylight. Its like he didn't even attempt to be sneaky about anything. Im overwhelmed with what he did.

It's the individual, not the State of residence!

He's a bad apple and would be such regardless of where he lives!

We all have our share of turds!

After reading up on this, I was first disgusted, but then I thought, dang wish I had a property that productive.

Hopefully he has to sell it to pay attorney's fees.

The guy should be able to receive a landowner compensation tag or two. He could sell them for some good money and be able to afford to fence the deer out if their bothering him that bad.

No, he cant sell landowner tags in Wyoming.

Its a general deer area more than likely and probably can purchase a metric chit ton of doe tags. Could also allow public hunting.

There is something way wrong with this guy.

Dude probably said no to every hunter who ever knocked on his door seeking permission to fill a couple tags.

Doesn?t surprise me I've met some real dandies hunting out that way. They pretty much do what they want ....... until they get caught !

The kid in Cokeville isn't any better this last fall. Multiple trophy bucks found in the barn after season.....I think he may be in a bit of trouble.

Lincoln County will not be nice about it.

Yep just a crazy old Scumbag. 35 acres and he is a rancher now.

Newspaper calling him a rancher is a spit in the eye to real ranchers.
