Guide recommendation

Looking for an outfitter near Saratoga Wyoming or Encampment WY. I would like to hear from people who have hunted with an outfitter in those areas I mentioned. I have a general tag. Rifle or archery. Thanks in advance.

Ben,

I would recommend Jim Schell with Rough Country Outfitters and Guides. He runs a first class camp and hires good people. Has donated many hunts to the RMEF. I only ever hunted mule deer with him but he has some good elk hunting. He knows how to get archery elk hunters close. He typically meets clients in Saratoga and has wall tent camps nearby.

Stands for shaking my head. Probably in reference to the fact that you're a resident wanting to hire an outfitter. Just a guess though.

Only one problem with that and it's that he got his tag in the NR draw on Thursday!
