I am going to try this again and hopefully my post won't get removed this time....

I would like you guys to chime in and let us know what products you use that are from Montana companies.

Myself;--- Ripcord Arrow Rest, Montana Decoy, Montana Black Gold bowsight, ATV Backpacker Cart, maybe more.

I am curious just how many Montana companies produce the products we in the hunting community use regularly.

PS- I am in no way affiliated with any of these companies so don't accuse me of advertising for them. I am, however, a very happy customer so I will share my satisfactory experience.

Somebody claimed I was advertising. I am a customer not a producer so that is kinda bogus.

WOW...real mature.

MTMULEY--"us" referred to those of us sportsmen on Monster Muleys.

Nonymt- Why do you have to be so negative? I love Montana and I am pleased with the products it produces. I just want to learn about more of them and share my own personal experiences.

Why do you guys have such a problem with Montana companies...or is it...a problem with new members of MM?

I will use Montana based products ONLY if they are competitive with whats availible on the market. I personally use several montana products such as.. Ripcord drop away, MT Decoys, montana cammo, black gold sight and trophy taker. thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

as for Montanaguide, I personally dont think he has anything financial to gain from asking this question, but who cares if he did??? How many people on here advertise for there archery shop they work for? infact if you go into the archery forum now under the best sight forum you will see atleast one guy mentioning his business. That doesnt bother me at all, if people are going to give reviews of your product wouldnt you want to know what they are saying and if needed stand up for it. I personally would like it if more owners would take there heads out of the clouds and come down to earth.
If I can support my local economy I will.

That's what I was looking for.

I guess I will have to add my Shuttle T broadheads to my list of Montana products which I currently use.

What's so immature? I'm really proud of Montana made products. My family has been here a looong time, and I love the state, so I enjoy seeing Montana companies succeed. The way you phrase things, it seems like you may be looking for something specific. Market research or the like. If you aren't, fine. If you are, say so. mtmuley

Lets see a list of all your MT made products,BTW if didnt already know very few of the products with a "montana" label are actually made here any more.

MTMuley- I apologize for my confusing phrasing. I have no hidden agenda.

Nonyamt- I realize that some Montana companies may have their product mass produced out-of-state. I am not asking where the manufacturing facilities are, I simply want to know how many companies are based here in MT.
I am trying to compile a list of the Montana products that I currently own, which is a reason why I started this thread.

Made in the USA is all I look for...Sure I support Oregon based companies like Bowtech or Leupold but I'm sure some of their components are made oversee's!

Companies are buying oversee's and relabeling to "assembled in the USA". Who can compete with an average hourly wage of $0.87?

So to your question of "how many companies are based in MT". Google my friend...

There is more to this than you let on,you expect me to believe you joined this forum just to find out what MT madeproducts we use?BS

Nony.. I dont know why you are trying to make a big deal out of this and frankly I dont CARE, it doesnt matter if he has some hidden agenda or not. From his first post montanaguide is clearly trying to find out who is using mt products and what we the users think about them... Whats the big deal? Do you have anything to add to the forum or not? Maybe you should question Brian on Why he has all the advertisements on here??? This site is designed to be a place where a person can ask questions about whatever he or she chooses and if you dont have something to add about a montana based product GOOD or BAD, you should try not posting.
I did recently learn that tight spot quivers are based in Belgrade that is pretty cool. It is my opinion that they are at the top for detachable quivers, little pricie but thats my two cense.

Why are you so concerned that I care?Do you have anything to add besides you opinion of what I think?Take your own advice, cant I ask the guy why he is collecting this info?I just posted something about MT "made" products, most of them are NOT made in MT,regardless o the label.Tight Spot Quiver parts are mass produced in CHINA,do some more research. They say "made in the USA",all that means is that the plastic injected, foam and rubber parts manufactured in CHINA are ASSEMBLED in the USA.The made is the USA or MT labels dont mean anything these days.He says"let US know" I want to know who "us" is,whats the big deal?

Nony..
Once again I dont get what kind of conspiracy theory you are trying to draw up in your mind. I am an average hunter that lives, eats and sleeps in Montana, I live in a town of about 5500 people and I love it. I spend all the money I can in my home town to support locals. It is no secret that most of the things we buy are not 100% produced in the states. You get a bronze star for pointing that one out. Now let us move on. That is not the point of this thread and you are to dumb to figure that out.
If you want to start your own thread about miss tagged products go ahead, have fun with that. I could care less if montanaguide was making money on every word he types on this thread. Good for him. I dont see how your comments add anything to this thread, infact from what Im hearing you are just a negative person and nobody likes a neg nancy.

Nony--once again "US" is referring those uf us sportsmen on Monster Muleys.
You are hijacking the thread, which may be your hidden agenda. I know a lot of people who will do or say anything to get attention...even if it is negative. You appear to be one of these people. Don't take it out on me if nobody takes you seriously.

LAST EDITED ON May-19-11 AT 02:28PM (MST)[p]yep, your just a guy who was so interested in MT made products your first post (DELETED BY MOD) was pitching some 4 wheeler cart,i know you are full of ##### and if the other guys cant see through it thats their problem, all they can do is respond with personal insults like a 6 year old so it doesnt suprise me.Why dont you give us an intro, what do you do for a living, are you from MT?

Nony,
You should start your own thread and maybe the title should be.
(who really are the people behind the user names and what do they have to gain, on monster muleys. The conspiracy theory!

No way,hes just a regular guy thats super interested in making sure we know about that MT made atv cart, give it time he will get back to he subject of his first post that was deleted.

LAST EDITED ON May-20-11 AT 09:16AM (MST)[p]Ok...since you are soooo curious...

I am not going to give you my name and social security #, but here is a little info about me.
I have 3 jobs--1 full-time w/at-risk kids, 1 PT ranch job, and 1 PT auto technician job. Oh yeah, and during rifle season I use what little time I have left to guide hunters.
I have a wife and 2 small children.
I was born and raised right here in SW Montana.
I love backcountry hunting, and do most all of it by foot or horseback. I have an ATV but only use it for access to on-foot hunting on long distance trips where I can't get my pickup or horses(because of distance).
The only thing I make and sell are leather chaps.

I love my God, my family, my Montana, and the USA.

My first post about the ATV Backpacker Cart that got deleted was purely written because I bought one and was excited about it. I wanted to see if anyone else on MM had one and what they thought of it. I have known that Monster Muleys is a good place to communicate w/fellow sportsmen.

Nonyamt- Now please give me a break and let the thread be about my original post on it.

Ok let's try this again...

The list of products I own from Montana companies;
-Ripcord Arrow Rest
-Montana Decoy
-Montana Black Gold Bowsite
-ATV Backpacker Cart
-Shuttle T broadheads
-Dead-On Rangefinder

What do you guy's have?

montanaguide, Could be I interpreted your posting incorrectly. Guess I never really thought about what Montana made stuff I use. I used to shoot quite a bit of HSM and BVAC handgun ammo, which is assembled here right down the road from me. I intend on having a Lilja barrel on one of my rifles shortly, made in Plains. I'll post more if I think of it. mtmuley

MTMULEY- no worries..
thank you for your post. I know Lawton Rifle Barrels are made in Dillon. I didn't know about Lilja. I also shoot some of the HSM stuff.

I never really thought about it either until I found out the ATV trailer I bought was from a Montana company. After that I started trying to figure out was else I had that was from MT and what other products were availiable that I didn't have.

Hence the reason for the thread.

I wish they could all be manufactured in MT as well, but as long as the check I write goes to a Montanan, I am ok with it.

Nony,
I like your atempt, but you still fail to get the point. Ultimatly we sportsmans want the best products our money can buy. For some that might only be 50$ or others 1000$, what montana based products do we use and what do we think about them? I am not going to pay more money and get less of a quality product just because its based in montana. But I can say on behalf of my new montana black gold sight that it is far superior product to any other sight I personally have shot, both in brightness and especially in durability. As for ghost camo. When Clay was still in business I felt he offerred the best camo pattern, for the style I hunt, that along with the price was far less than the competition made my decision easy to go with ghost. I love to use local products when they work.

Nony.
Ive tried too. But here I go again. The idea that I got from this thread was.. As sportsman what products do you currently use or have used in the past that come from montana based companys? You would then share your thoughts on the individual products that you have. such as a ripcord rest, trophy taker, montana decoy ETC. Do you have any montana products? I would love to hear.

I have many with MT in their name or company location but I doubt any of them are actually made here,Mt cammo.Mt decoy, trophy ridge sight/Montana black gold, butler creek.

>I have many with MT in

>cammo.Mt decoy,trophy ridge sight/Montana black
>gold,butler creek.

NONYAMT - You might be right on some of those, but you would be wrong on Montana Black Gold archery sights. Go to their plant in Belgrade and see them machining the parts and assembling them.

The same goes for their affiliate companies, RipCord Arrow Rests and TightSpot Quivers.

They take pride in being not just American companies, but Montana companies who employ people here. Probably the reason they can have an unconditional warranty and not go broke - they have great employees making great products.
