Drove out scout a new spot tonight,saw three cows bedded in a bowl a ways off so stopped and hiked in,picked up a fresh 5X shed and then noticed about 20 cows/yearlings coming out of the timber staring at something down below me,figured it would be a bear by the way they were acting,nope it was a big ole cow and a BRAND new calf,just gettin its legs under him,the other elk were fixated on that calf,payed no attention to me whatsoever.
