Can anyone tell me anything good or bad about the archery elk hunting in the little belts besides there are a ton of people? Was out there last wknd to check out the area. Mainly was around woodchopper ridge and yogo peak area. Lots of fourwheelers last wknd! Anyone else have any recomendations? I was kinda leaning towards the castle mountains, but I here the same things down there. Any help will be appreciated! thank you

I was going to say lots of 4-wheelers, but you got that covered too.

I have not been successful in the belts, so have nothing to offer other than hike in away from any roads. good luck

LAST EDITED ON Jul-24-11 AT 08:12AM (MST)[p]I've hunted that area South of Stanford quite a lot both archery and rifle. Big problem is so many elk are in the foothills, private. Lots of elk and a few good bulls.
