Montana Elk permit 620-20

I drew this permit with 8 bonus points.
Any thoughts about about Elk hunting in this area?

LOTS OF ARCHERY PRESSURE,shoot the first solid 6x6 you see(if you do),that said its a real fun area to hunt if you like the badlands.

I bow hunted North of the Ft Peck Lake and the CMR during the 80's and early 90's, yup! lots of hunters. Elk get scattered and many head into the sage.
I know from my April shed hunting there are more elk sheds now days then the 80's, but the over all size is down a lot. And as far as the Mule deer sheds, finds are WAY down and there is NO size!
I spend a couple days most years hunting Muley's in the breaks, lately it's been very hard finding a mature buck. Not so back in the 70's and 80's.
Although is not unusual to see a group of 5 pt and smallish 6 pt Bulls.
I'm going to give my best. I've killed lots of Elk. It's gonna be a big guy or tag soup.
