Bought a tag for it this year anyone have experience on the grounds? Scouting is a no-no and cannot have anyone else tag along. Trying to prioritize whether to hunt there right off the bat on the 3rd or hunt elsewhere. I am in great shape and will definitely cover ground to find what is there (or isnt), just interested in hearing what people say who have hunted the archery section.

Thanks!

Done and Done, thanks for lookin out!

Do you have any experience there?

I haven't hunted it in quite a few years, but my experience is this... there are to many yahoos who 'walk' for whitetails. The deer are VERY spooky, and get hunted non stop for almost 4 months. There used to be some dandy deer out there, and I'm sure there still are, but I don't think I'd spend much time out there... Lots of better public land areas to hunt with FAR less pressured deer.

I'd definitely go early, spend a day or two 'scouting' and set up a stand and hunt the crap out of it the first week before those deer figure out whats up.

Good luck, hope you bag a good one

Last year there was a big WT killed during the last couple weeks of that areas season,if he wasnt missing ALL the tines off one side he would have been a solid 160-170 buck.
